I shot this photo of the Caracara at Fort Worth Nature Center in North Fort Worth. The bird was found injured and will never fly again and wouldn't be able to survive without help, so Fort Worth Nature Center is keeping the bird in captivity for the remainder of its natural life. They are not a commonly found this far North, so I thought it would make a good photo to add to my collection since I I usually photograph wildlife of all sorts, landscapes, and nature. This was my first night with my new Nikon Z9, and the Tamron SP 150-600mm G2 lens she bought me for an anniversary gift. The moon was shining brightly after just clearing the trees in our back yard. I only took about five shots before I was pleased with the results. Settings were: Nikon z9f/8, 1/640 sec., 600mm, ISO-320, Spot metering on a tripod and a timed delay
